Can't choose Wireless Network

Sun Apr 17, 2016 3:34 pm

Hi -

In preparing to install Raspbian (Noobs 1.9) I want to choose my local wireless network. When I select it the field for Password is greyed out. If I look at other networks the password field is enabled.

Obviously there is something about my network that prevents entry of a password. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for any help.

What security does your WiFi run with. If it's WEP you have two options
1. Change to WPA or WPA2 which is more secure anyway
2. Muck about in /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf to add the WEP keys (google for it)

I know which option I'd choose.
