Moving from RPi2 to RPi3 - Green LED flashing 4 Times

Hello,
I got my new RPi3 today and wanted to continue using my current RPi2 SD card.
When I am inserting the card the Green LED flashes 4 times and then repeats this pattern.
If I plug the SD card back to RPi2 it works fine. I have of course upgraded distro etc
Also If I try a fresh system on another SD it works but I don't want to setup everything from scratch
Any ideas?
thanks

You need to update the firmware and kernel so that you've got a card that's compatible.
If it's running NOOBS with Raspbian (either Wheezy or Jessie) then the much easier option is to start with a fresh download. If it's running plain Raspbian Jessie (NO NOOBS) then sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade run on your old RPi will get it ready for the RPi3. If it's running plain Raspbian Wheezy then again starting with a fresh download is your best option.
It's only a fiver for a new 8GB SDCard.

Thanks you so much DougieLawson!
I am afraid I am on NOOBS Jessie. So you think there is not a way to make it? I have owncloud and a webserver installed and it will be a pain to move to a new installation.

It's possible to lift the stuff from a new NOOBS card and put it on an old card, but it's a monster pain in the tail.
