Unable to install packages on my new rpi2

Sat Mar 05, 2016 2:30 pm

Hi,

I have a new rpi2 with a new 32gb Kingston SDHC card. I following instructions and formatted with overwrite, size adjusted.
Used NOOBS to install raspbian and everything is working fine.
My system is booting fine, I can use the system, open programs, save files etc.
But when I try install new packages either using apt or aptitude my system either freezes or I recieve various error, and I am not able to perform any more commands before I restart the rpi.

Can you guys help me?

Thank you for your reply.
At the moment I am receiving the following message:
E: problem executing scripts DPkg::Post-Invoke '/usr/bin/test -e/.

Then all my icons becomes white documents with red crosses and my directories can be found. This time a message under the clock popped up, saying:

"SD32GF was removed without ejecting. Please use menu to eject before removal".

Does that help?

According to one of the forum moderators here, Kingston do not support the Pi, so it may just be a straight forward case of an incompatible microSD card. If you have no luck resolving this problem via any other means, then I'd highly recommend a Sandisk Ultra or Sandisk Extreme as a replacement.
Pi2B Mini-PC/Media Centre: ARM=1GHz (+3), Core=500MHz, v3d=500MHz, h264=333MHz, RAM=DDR2-1200 (+6/+4/+4+schmoo). Sandisk Ultra HC-I 32GB microSD card on '50=100' OCed slot (42MB/s read) running Raspbian/KODI16, Seagate 3.5" 1.5TB HDD mass storage.

Thank you for your answer. I feared so.
I have already ordered a sandisk with Noobs preinstalled. I hope that will do the trick

Be aware that there have been many posts here regarding getting a preinstalled OS that was out of date. Even bundled deals where the OS on the SD card would not work on the RPi it was sold with.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

Thanks for the warning, I'll look out for that
