[Pi3] - problems after installing Arduino

Fri Mar 04, 2016 6:43 am

I installed Raspbian operating system (totally unpdated). After installing arduino my Pi isn´t finishing booting. I see the lines of comments when it is booting, but when the device should change to graphical desktop I see only a black screen and on the first line of the screen some kind blinking cursor. I tried it 3 times and allways got the same behavior (Sorry when this problem was already posted – I did some research on Internet and forum without results.).

Is it a general problem or some mistake by my own?

Thanks, Clemens

I got something similar, because the shutdown part of rebooting the machine didn't complete (gave it a couple of minutes). It was sitting there gently winking the green ACT LED and doing nothing sensible.

So I pulled power and it worked OK after that. The arduino IDE is now available and working.

After reading your post I gave it a try again. Now it worked - without any problems.
I don´t know what has changed, but it's working and I am happy.

Thanks, regards Supermerlin
