Wheezy apt-get update errors (collabora)

I've been updating my various Pis today, I have one that runs a little webserver and is still running under Wheezy.
I'm getting errors when running

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
. Output is this :

Code: Select all

[email protected] ~ $ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I'm posting this to ask
a) is there anything I can do to circumvent it (I'm not knowingly using collabora) and
b) does someone at raspberrypi.org need to change some permissions somewhere? :D

Thanks

Ian

The collabora and wolfram repos haven't been needed for ages and are safe to remove. However, wheezy is unsupported.

Ah, ok.

I went to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

and commented out the entry in
collabora.list and
wolfram.list

and the problem has gone away.

I realise Wheezy isn't supported, just not got around to the upgrade yet as I was keen to avoid a fresh install

Thanks

Ian

I get this error as well. I have checked the sources.list and I have this in it:

deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ wheezy main contrib non-free rpi

So, if wheezy is unsupported, what is supported now? Also, what should I be putting in the sources.list? As far as I understand the above URL redirects to a proper source.

Thanks,

You also need to check the files in sources.list.d

Ok, the sources.list contains:
deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ wheezy main contrib non-free rpi

In sources.list.d there are 2 files:
collabora.list
raspbi.list

collabora.list contains:
deb http://raspberrypi.collabora.com wheezy rpi

raspi.list contains:
deb http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/ wheezy main

I can see Jessie is the latest. I'm running a Model B+ and I run it as a headless system. So, a couple of questions:

What do I need to do to the apt config to get rid of the 403 error?
Can I upgrade to jessie?
If so, how do I configure apt to upgrade to jessie?

Thanks,

Delete collabora.list

I believe the blog post I linked has upgrade instructions in it somewhere.

Edit: MAKE A BACKUP!

Was just reading this. I think I'll give it a whirl.

Cheers.
