IP address

Mon Feb 22, 2016 8:06 pm

When I first started to use it (with a WiFi dongle), the IP address was 192.168.1.18. Then, I tried connecting to that address (headless) and it was not working, then I realised that it changed to 192.168.1.2. Now, I am unable to connect to the last address because I assume that it changed again.
Should the address be changing so often?

No reason why it shouldn't change. You can increase the lease time in your router, but that's not a guarantee, either. Better to reserve an IP address in your router.
