I can't play the games I download

Recently I've been using the terminal command- sudo apt-cache search games | less -to find the games I want to download. Once I find them I use- sudo apt-get install _______ -to download them. The games download fine but sometimes I can't find them or open them. When I try to open Oolite for example, the cpu usage goes up to 20% and then drops to zero and nothing happens. I know that these are great games and I really want to play them. Please Help! Thanks in advance.

Just because the packages are available does not mean that they will run... very frustrating. Oolite (not the new remake) does not appear to have been ported over to the Pi successfully - I think the package that we can download is faulty, it does not run when I try it either. Some games required too many resources too, and the game 'crashes' when you try to run it
