No internet connection

Hello
I am all new to this , and i got m raspi today. i managed to get it all working ,except for the internet connection
I don't understand why.
I searched all aorund the forums and googled it , but no one has the problem i have.
I tried to ping a site, and succeded, then i checked out the ifconfig, and the dhcp client list of my router, and my raspberry pi defently has an ip address. but i can't acces the internet with the preinstalled webbrowser... what can i do ?

Do you get a response if you ping bbc.co.uk ?

but i figuered out that i have to remove my keyboard in order to have internet access. may be related to power consumption
as i havent got a powered usb hub atm , i can't really use my Pi , and further i don't really see anything i could do with it , so i consider reselling it... or can you give me some hints what to do with it ?
