Ras pi won't start

Sun Dec 13, 2015 12:08 am

So I have a raspberry pi 1 model B and I've been experimenting with different os's lately I started with weezy then I tried one of the media canter ones and finally installed jessie which I want to be my new permanent os no more experimenting, so I install it and it runs fine other then it won't let me install any apps but when shutdown and startup again it goes through the entire startup process then it leaves me nothing but a blank terminal which i can't do anything with. Can anyone help me with this i'm worried I broke my pi and it was really hard to get, hardly any shop around me sells them.

It seems like you only have one SD card. It is more likely that the SD card has an error somewhere, and this is stopping it booting. You could try reinstalling to your SD card or get a new one and try installing on that. If all you have been doing is install software it is not very likely that the Pi is broken.

There are instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58151&sid=95bd4d88 ... a45dca51c0

Check these and post back the results. Please post exact error messages, as what they say will help us to work out what is wrong. "It gave an error" or "It doesn't work" will not help us to help you.

Good luck
