I am trying to have this 3.95" ili9488 screen work on raspberry pi zero, but I can't get it right...
I read a lot of tutorial/guide about this screen and yet I can't get it to work, it stays white.

If I am not mistaken there are two ways to have it working : either replace the kernel or use the FBTFT as described on this tuto : http://appdictive.dk/blog/projects/2015 ... pberry_pi/
However, even if in the first github link, someone successfully connected the screen with rpi zero by changing the kernel I did not.
I tried to use the custom kernel/raspbian image given here : http://www.ittgroup.ee/et/ekraanid-ja-n ... pi-le.html
with different combinations :
- win32_3.95screem.img with or without custom kernel : the pi don't boot. My guess is that the raspbian is a wheezy version too old to support rpi zero?
- last jessie raspbian lite/not lite with kernel : the pi boot but freeze at the debug screen (http://archlinux.spider007.net/RPi/debug-screen.jpg
). I tried to enable SPI before replacing the kernel, but it changes nothing (SPI and 8bit bus are different if I understand correctly). My guess is that the kernel is wheezy rasbpian specific.
I did not tried the FBTFT tuto as the writer says it's more laggy than replacing the kernel and I want to use it for a pi-boy project so I need a good framerate. It seems that even with the custom kernel the framerate is not so good.
Any idea to have it working with a good framerate?
Notro talks about a mipi module that could be used for this ili9488, but I don't really understand what is a mipi-module and how to use it.
Help would be great!!
