Raspberry Pi Forums

So i was working on my raspberry pi implementing bluetooth commands. The last thing i did was plug in an ethernet cable from my computer to the pi and run sudo apt-get update. Now nothing works. I cant load up the terminal and I cant shut it down from desktop. All of the icons have turned into a white page with an x and trying to shut down returns
"ERROR: Failed to execute child process "lxde-pi-shutdown-helper" input/output error". I dont want to unplug it for fear of making it worse. What do i do?

Nevermind, if figured it out. My SD card got dislodged.
Hope nothing bad happened.
