Composite overscan not working - RPi2

Sun Sep 06, 2015 7:44 am

I have a raspberry pi 2, running rasbian connected via composite to a 800x480 touchscreen lcd.

I previously had a pi B running and it was fine, however I cannot get the settings right with the pi2.

When disable_overscan=1 the screen does not work at all, but I can ssh into the pi.
When disable_overcan=0 the screen works, but no matter what there is black borders.

I have messed around with the overscan settings but it seems to not be doing anything at all!

I have framebuffer width and height set to 800 and 480. When I comment out framebuffer, the screen is correct, but any programs I run go off the screen.

Any help??
