mmc0 timeout waiting for hardware interrupt

I ,

i recently got me a Raspberry Pi 2 and I installed Kali sana , when it boots up I get the error:

mmc0 timeout waiting for hardware interrupt
could this be my power supply ?

are there any logs I can look at it?

No. It's more likely that your Linux kernel isn't compatible with the Raspberry Pi 2 processor. There are separate versions of Kali for Pi1 vs Pi2 machines.

I had similar symptoms today (mmc0: reset/timeout repeating msg during boot, solid disk light) after upgrading to kernel 4.1.20 .

Replaced /boot/kernel.img,start.elf with 4.1.17 (1.20160209) and problem went away. Returned when rpi-up'd again to .20 Disappeared again with .17 . First r-up on a zero, second on an A+ . Same PNY 8 GB error-free ~1 year.

Dunno what changed, maybe emmc_clock default timings? Might help some cards but crashes others. I will be ultra-cautious upgrading remote CPUs. Pushing is understandable -- the RPi's biggest handicap IMHO is dogslow disk.
