Raspberry Pi 2 Model B doesn´t boot

Tue May 26, 2015 10:43 pm

Hello,

I have my RPI 2 Model B for 2 days, but suddenly the screen got black and it does not boot anymore. I´ve tried to put noobs in the microsd again to check software problems, without luck.

What I observe when I plug the microusb 5V 2A is:

* Red and green lights on (without blinking green light) for about 30 seconds. No output HDMI signal.
* After that, red and green lights blinks (about 1.5 seconds on / 1.5 seconds off and so on).
* The RPI2 is hot and specially microsd card.
* I've tried to switch off by taking out the microusb cable and putting in again and sometimes the behaviour is the same, but other times the blinking pattern starts from the very beginning. Maybe if the card is still hot.

I´ve tried another 5 V 1.5A source with the same result.

Does anybody know if the RPI is faulty or am I doing anything bad?

TIA.

A lot of people have success with using a different SD card in situations like this. Good luck.

I think the charger is faulty, because I've connected to a external battery (input: 5V/1.5A) and it has been broken (burning smell just after connecting and I cannot charge a mobile phone with it).

The charger is:

VHBW Model: XTD-502000/3013 Output: DC5V/2A.

I'm not connecting that charger to anything else, so if anybody can recommend a charger for the RPi 2 it would be of great help.

Thanks

Thank you for your reply.

I need a charger with EU plug and if possible that is sold in amazon, to avoid expensive shipping cost.
