pi2 - xscreensaver problems

1) when xscreensaver was running in the background, the pi2 would
- sometimes freezes while midori was running
- Becomes sluggish after exiting midori or chromium
- exiting midori and trying to restart it will not work, intermittent
2) when xscreensaver uninstall
- PI 2 more stable
- Still get blank screen after 10 minutes of inactivity on one of my pi2? Tried on a second pi2 and the screen does not go blank like the first one? Is there another screensaver active?
