overscan & wifi dongle

Fri Apr 03, 2015 8:11 am

Hi,
I have a raspberry pi 2 model B with the latest Debian OS.

The usb wifi dongle has been worked perfectly.

But if I disabled the overscan option in config.txt , the wifi dongle can't connect.

Code: Select all

Are you 100% sure? The overscan setting would appear to be unrelated to a usb wifi dongle. Can you reproduce it, or was it just that you edited config.txt, rebooted and found your wifi would no longer connect?

I'm sure, and I can reproduce it.

After change the overscan option (using vim or raspi-config), I tried rebooting and power off (remove the power plug).

If overscan is disabled , the wifi dongle can't connect. If overscan is enabled, after rebooting, the wifi dongle works perfectly.

That is very interesting. I must admit I have some intermittent wifi issues with my Pi2, but I had assumed it was an issue with my power supply.

Are you sure you've got the right SSID/password for the AP at e0:30:05:af:43:2c?
