Taskbar is annoying!

Whenever I program/surf the web/etc. on my pi with the new user interface, I keep getting the top of windows stuck in the taskbar. . It's so annoying. If anyone knows a fix for this problem, please post it here!

if you right click on an empty part of the taskbar and select panel settings and iirc advanced there is a checkbox to set that will hide the taskbar when not in use. if you need it back to do something with it then hover over the line it becomes and it'll reappear and then disappear after you move the mouse off it.
