automatically log into network

Tue Mar 24, 2015 9:49 am

Hello everybody,

I have a pi, and would like to start the foloowing project:

The pi should start in the morning automatically an log in into a Windows network. After that, there should be displayed automatically an HTML file in the browser.

It is a classic school network (WORKGROUP with username and password). Unfortunately, the registration is lost after every reboot and it is necessary to log in again manually.

Is there a possibility to login automatically?

Regards, Nils

I assume it will have the graphic shell running?
You will need to add some lines to a startup script

sudo nano /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart

# @xscreensaver -no-splash
# activate a vnc server for the current session
@x11vnc -bg -usepw -forever -rfbport 5900 -display :0
# disable screen savers
@xset s off
@xset -dpms
@xset s noblank
# start the browser
@iceweasel -no-remote
# get rid of mouse cursor after period of no activity
@unclutter -display :0.0 -idle 5 &
# we use r-kiosk-master to run iceweasel in kiosk mode.
