Changing Operating Systems?

Mon Feb 23, 2015 4:20 pm

I have been running RASPBIAN v3.18 on my Raspberry PI 2 Model B. I downloaded both OPENELEC v 3.14.7 and RASPMC v 3.12 and followed the same steps a I did to load these images as I did for my working RASPBIAN v3.18 (different MicroSD cards of course). I can't get either OPENELEC or RASPMC to start, display stays on initial (red, blue, yellow) screen. What am I missing to make these Media Images to start properly? Thanks for the support :)

Raspbmc will not run on a B2; use it's successor OSMC, see https://osmc.tv/2015/02/raspberry-pi-2- ... c-support/
Openelec needs a newer version than the one on the RPF download page, see http://openelec.tv/get-openelec

DirkS Yes, these worked thank you. Maybe the Raspberry Downloads page needs a configuration option?

Pi1 and 2 compatibility is mentioned for all the downloads, but it's easy to miss
