USB hub with raspberry pi a+

Thu Feb 19, 2015 8:27 pm

I'm wondering if anyone has any success connecting multiple devices through a USB hub to raspberry pi a+.
I have raspberry pi 2 and I can connect keyboard, mouse, wifi dongle to each of the 4 usb ports on pi 2 or all through a usb hub. But when I tried to connect this hub to pi a+, none of the devices works. Is it possible to do this?

Could be a power issue, this is why i use a PiHub for multi-device hookups on the Pi, as it makes sure everything it powered correctly, Pi included.

Sound about right for an A or A+, Many of the devices I use on my other Pis don't work through a hub on an A/A+ . It varies by which hub I use too. I use a B, B+ or Pi2 where I want more than 1 USB device.
Don't judge Linux by the Pi.......
