Constant Pi Rebooting

Wed Jun 26, 2013 11:19 pm

I've just installed Raspbian on my new Pi and new SD card. After successfully installing the OS, the Pi seems to restart constantly. The only way for me to stop it is by holding down 'shift' to the boot menu.

Any idea how to fix the problem?

most often constant rebooting is a power supply issue. The PI is denied the extra power it needs the moment the GPU is fully turned on, and the lack of power (voltage dropping below a minimum) causes the PI to crash and reset.

another cause can be a corrupted installation.
