+1
Especially as the forum doesn't seem to render well under Safari on the iPod Touch

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
Please don"t or at least find a way to prevent the annoying popups. I swear every time I go online and google for some problem, I get at least one tapatalk popup. Soooo annoying.
"Hey you"re on an ipad you should use tapatalk!"

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
It renders well with my DolphinHD (Android), and I too hate the tapatalk-popups.
Isn't there an better alternative for the iPod? Opera Mini or something...

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
Get a non crudy-Apple-ied-down device!!??
Seriously though, since I use both a Samsung S2 (which renders the forums, site, videos beautifully and fast) and a *splutter* iPhone 3GS which does none of the above beautifully, fast or even acceptably, some change would be welcome.

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
All i asked was, are we getting tapatalk on the forum?
Im not interested on a debate about smart devices, start your own thread on that subject if you wish, im asking simply about the Tapatalk plugin on the forum.

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
+1 one. It's not a question of how well it renders on mobile devices. It's a question of better user experience than plain old HTML forums. I'd take Tapatalk on Mac OS (if it existed) over any HTML forum.
Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
If you go to your User Control Panel/Board preferences, you can set My board style to prosilver to get better rendering on mobile devices.
The "better" is my personal opinion and is in no way intended to start a debate on the default forum theme, mobile device browser capabilities, forum add-ons, or third party applications.
Enjoy!
Bill

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
I'd lend my weight behind activating the Tapatalk Plugin .
It's free to the forum owner to do so .
I use it to access 4 other Forums , and find it very good for keeping on top of them .
I find myself having to wade through quite a bit of Back stuff everytime I come in here , just to figure out what I want to and should be following .

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
Judging by this thread, I wouldn't hold you breath:
http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... t=tapatalk
It's been asked about for a whle, it took long enough for the powers that be to allow Prosilver rather than the default eye hurting template

Why ?ailwyn wrote:-1 for tapatalk (yes, it's a minus)
Adding tapatalk would have no impact on users who don't use it .

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
not so... try accessing a tapatalk enabled forum on a tablet or smartphone without using tapatalk and get an annoying popup every time... no thanks.
If the offending bit of code is removed from the script then fine, I'd have no problem, but unless that will happen -1
