Although we already have a thread entitled "News articles and blog posts about Raspberry Pi", I though it would be good idea, now that customers have started to receive and to use them, to start a new thread covering articles in 'printed' as opposed to on-line magazines, which actually cover the Pi in more detail (not just to short 'reviews') and which explain in some, usually illustrated, detail everything from the initial set-up to programming related subjects.
For example, the latest (Issue 114) Linux User & Developer could almost be taken as a Raspberry Pi magazine itself, as the entire front cover is taken up with a picture of the Pi, and a large banner saying "Develop with Raspberry Pi"
Inside there are no less that 12 pages of 'expert Raspberry Pi tutorials' covering such topics as Programming in Python, Building a Node.js web server, and also (one I am following myself at the moment) Virtualise Raspberry Pi, using QEMU to emulate a fully functional replica.
Heavy stuff, some might think, but the previous issue contained, in addition to a 5 star two page review, a four page article by none other than our very own Liam Fraser entitled 'Setting Up the Raspberry Pi, with plenty of pictures and screen shots, which I know a lot of folk like to see.
There are others also, such as the four page article by Jonathan Roberts in the July edition of Linux Format magazine, on getting started, which may well be of interest to those who (like me) are still waiting to receive their Raspberry Pi's, and there are others I could mention also, but I think I will leave it at that for now!
