Official rpi kernel on Ubuntu 64 bits

Hello! Anyone who knows if it is possible to use the official rpi kernel https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux for Ubuntu for rpi? I'm trying to git bisect the kernel to find a bug (which is present in both kernels), but I'd need to do it on Ubuntu. It seems that Ubuntu is using u-boot and needs a initrd. Anyone who tried somethi like this?

Another option would be to git bisect the Ubuntu kernel itself, but I failed because it seems that the debian/ directory is needed, and that is only available in some branches, not everywhere. Maybe someone knows if it is possible to build the Ubuntu kernel for rpi without it?

Thanks!

You should search at https://ubuntuforums.org/ or https://askubuntu.com/questions/tagged/raspberrypi if you don't find an answer post a new question over there.

I didn't look - I don't use Ubuntu, but that's the place to ask ALL questions about Ubuntu.
The kernel I'm running works just fine on every one of my Raspberries.

Sure, take a look at this and have a read;

https://github.com/pyavitz/rpi-img-builder

You can build Debian, Ubuntu and Devuan.

Good luck!

Really? what Kernel bug? If it's really a Kernel bug.
