Hello respected members of the forum
Recently I installed Ubuntu 18.04 (ubuntu-18.04.4-preinstalled-server-arm64+raspi3.img) on my Raspbbery Pi 4B. But the performance is a little disappointing. I have display resolution issue. The resolution is too low that I can only see half of my terminal. I even can't change the resolution because there is no any other resolution available. I tried to connect 7 inch display and 22 inch display but no success, the result is same for both displays.
It too difficult for me work with this resolution. I checked my drivers and found the details:
Graphics: llvmpipe (LLVM 9.0 128 bits)
GNOME 3.28.2
64 bit operating system
If anyone can guide in the right direction, shall be thankful.
Your precious comments will be appreciated highly.
Thank you

ubuntu is going to give you lots of problems because it's meant to be a wired server with no gui.
the recommended os is raspberry pi os, everything works out of the box.

Thanks for your reply, I have already installed Raspbian on another SD card and it works. But there are many things that we can not do if we are using Raspbian. I want to use ROS that's why I installed Ubuntu.

your in luck, grab the 64bit beta
viewtopic.php?f=117&p=1668160#p1668160

then follow the directons for debian buster on the ros site. you'll want the most recent release.

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS would be a better choice of version to use as it "suppossedly" had more tweaks ;)
