Hi friends in my first post. Firstly, I apologise if this is not the right place and hope you can help me.
I've just started with my new RPI 4 and installed Ubuntu 20.04 on it. It's working quite well, fluid although some problems with the sound through hdmi that frequently cuts. But the real issue now is that I haven't been able to install the Spotify app in my OS. I have read many pages and possible solutions in internet without any sucess.
Well, That's why I'm looking for help.
And yes, I'm a beginner in this fascinating world ...with tons of desire of learning.

First there is no linux version of Spotify on ARM.

If I may ask, why are you trying to go to the latest which maybe isn't tested thoroughly on RPI.
Why not stick to raspbian.

There are tricks with which you can install on RPI
Take a look here or here.

My advice: learn, enjoy and keep it simple.

It's tested about as thoroughly as we can manage (which, knowing a bit about what goes on behind the scenes here, is pretty thoroughly now ... he says, remembering his small oversight of the USB ports on the Eoan release *cough*). Seriously though, everything we can think of gets tested (repeatedly) before release.

For 20.04, the hardware certification team finally had access to all the hardware too, which wasn't the case during the Eoan cycle due to stock shortages of the 4Gb Pi4 (that's not me trying to dodge not catching that issue - I should've - but the reason the cert team didn't is because they literally didn't have the hardware).

There's still quite a bit of stuff we have to add official support for (and which therefore *isn't* tested - the camera module is my main wish here), but we'll be getting to this stuff in due course (and adding it to the automated test suites as we do).

Might also be worth badgering Spotify via their "Contact" link on the spotify snapstore page. If they could be persuaded to build their stuff for more than just amd64 that'd benefit everyone (probably Spotify included).
