Hi All,

I am trying to read data from a serial cable using a USB-to-RS-232 Serial Adapter Cable. But when I check for the device info using 'lsusb' the device info does not show up. I have installed ubuntu on the pi. Can someone help me out with it to read the data from the serial port? Thank you

Is the unit grounded together? I had an issue where ground wasn't connected from a normal usb cable. When I grounded it, the pi saw it
