Using apt-mirror to mirror Ubuntu repos

Mon Jan 20, 2020 2:49 pm

I'm attempting to create local repos for several Ubuntu release versions, e.g. Trusty 14.x, Xenial 16.x and Bionic 18.x, but it doesn't seem to be working as expected.

To start with, when I kick off the apt-mirror, I get several errors complaining about not being able to find armhf packages or index files or similar items. I just ignore those errors because I don't care if it can't find packages for armhf and the mirror.list file doesn't reference anything for Raspbian, so I just ignored the errors. However, I've realized that apt-mirror doesn't download everything for repo's that I'm attempted to mirror. For example, it doesn't download Contents-amd64.gz or Contents-i386.gz from ./ubuntu/dists/trusty or ./ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-amd64 and it's entire contents.

So, is this apt-mirror only for Raspbian repo's? Can I not use it to mirror Ubuntu repo's? Any thoughts?

Thanks

Daryl
