I use poptrayminus on my Kubuntu system at home - -it's the most useful utility I have - but here in a rest-home I'm trying to get my Pi 3B up to speed. poptrayminus_1.2_all.deb tries to install when double-clicked, but complains that a package is missing. Very informative, NOT!
Okay, open a terminal and apt install. Now python-central is required. python-central_0.6.17ubuntu2_all.deb is OLD, but can be found in kubuntu 10.04 - and that complains that python (>= 2.4.3-10) is required.
Latest python is installed, but is not recognized !!! Is this an 'architecture' problem? arm instead of x86? Can somebody more knowledgeable attempt this install? Please? or find a similar mail-watcher that's not too fancy, that does JUST that?
The only flaw I can find (really only a 'niggle', is that the tab label for (each? I only have one) account is not a clickable button linking to the appropriate mailer or account.
