error -22 whilst initialising SDIO Card

Sun Dec 08, 2019 3:22 am

I have been trying to get the raspberry pi ubuntu server working on my pi 3 and when I get to the bootup stage I run into the error message "error -22 whilst intialising SDIO card."I have a san disk 64 GB micro SD card in my raspberry pi with Ubuntu for raspberry pi on it. I used balenced etcher to flash my sd card, but the first time I went through the card failed. Is there a specific way I need to format the SD card before I flash it? My SD card was making my computer crash for a while when I was plugging it in. I reformatted it on another computer and it stopped doing that. Not sure what to do here.

if you have a linux box with gparted..etc.etc..wipe the sd-card partition so there is no partition on the card at all

now next go ahead with etcher and flash it ...

your error 22 most likely is sd-card related or the partition`s was written on a bad block... and or damage to the card
since you have had trouble with it in the past ...try a different sd-card...
sd cards can be easily damaged whilst removing them if not properly unmounted by the system..

Return to “Ubuntu”
