Ubuntu Server on Raspberry Pi 4

Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:40 pm

I have installed Ubuntu Server on Raspberry Pi 4 but there is no networking at all, no ifconfig, no connection, ping, nothing. So I can't do update or anything or install any packet to setup network. Image downloaded from Ubuntu webpage 32 bit. Raspberry Pi connected via ethernet cable to the switch. Yesterday shortly tested on Raspbian and was working fine. I have already 3 Raspberry Pi (Raspbian) so want to try this time other OS but unsuccessful.
Is it working for someone?

RPi4 4GB will not complete the boot using the current arm64 image. Setting total_mem=3072 in config.txt in the boot folder will complete the boot.

Canonical never tested the 4GB model (it appears). No point wondering why; just fix it, Canonical!

Patch published by Hui Wang works to restore access to full 4 GB allocation. Wonder when it will be slipstreamed into the official image.

Kind regards.

Though any issues should be dealt with by Canonical Support !!

OK.
Thank you for all answers.
This time, lets say, it was my terribly mistake.
I used Ethernet cable which didn't work. One which I bought with my previous Raspberry PI and never tried before.

I can't even claim as it was long time ago.
