Desktop Sharing in 21.04

Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:35 pm

I've been trying to get Screen Sharing working under Ubuntu 21.04 with little success. For the initial user created, with sudo privileges, screen sharing works without a hitch. For a non-sudoer, I have to re-enter the password at every log in, and get a keyring dialog forcing me to enter the sudo user's password.

This is my test Pi for a classroom setting where instructors will need to be able to VNC into the Pi's at any time, and not necessarily with the student having to grant permission, but it just won't store the password for the non-sudo users. Is this a bug, or an intentional design feature? If it is, it means Ubuntu is pretty much out as the OS to use.

I'm having the same problem on 21.04 on Intel. I think it's the change over to Wayland from X
