Display problems

Hi, I was given a screen for xmas last year and had it set up perfectly. Ihavent used it for a few months and when I tried to get it going all i get is this:-

Any one know whats going on. PI is working ok and using hdmi to tv it does as it should.

Pull off the green & yellow wires. You don't need those with any of the 40-pin Raspberries.

No green and yellow wires attached just red & black attached to 5v and ground.

Power off. Pull the ribbon cable (carefully, so you don't break the connectors). Reinstall the ribbon. Reboot & test.

Still no joy. It also stays the same if I power it up with the ribbon cable disconnected. I think it may have had its day. Shame. Thanks for your help.

Seems the problem was with the pi rather than the screen. Guessing there is a problem with the pins as the pi works ok using hdmi.

Most likely problem is a broken ribbon cable. That's a £2 fix from eBay.
