Official 7” Touchscreen Power

Hi,

I have had the screen for some time now and it’s working perfectly. I just want to clarify something simple before breaking it .

According to the instructions, the power and ground should be connected to pins 4 & 6.

Would it matter if the 5v was connected to pin 2 and the ground to one of the other ground pins, pin 9, 14, 20, 25, 30, 34,or 39?

I am thinking about connecting a 5v fan to the set up. The fan has a moulded 2pin connector so it would fit better on pins 4 & 6. I don’t want to cut the connector off the fan, and the wires from the screen are already separated.

Basically I just want to make sure there’s nothing special about pins 4 & 6 that i’m Not aware of.

There's nothing special about them.
All GND pins are connected and the same is true for the 5V pins

Red wire to pin#2 or #4 (they're both connected to the same 5V supply)
Black wire to ANY gnd (they're all connected anyway)

I've been bald longer than I had a full head of hair. Started balding around 24/25 years old.

On the beta testing front my wife wonders why there's all the strange computers round the house. I've been playing with Wemoses and neopixels which are sprouting from various phone chargers.
