Official 7" Pi Touchscreen not calibrated with B+

Thu Apr 12, 2018 3:20 pm

I use several 7 inch touchscreens with model B. Bought 6 B+ and 6 new touchscreens only to find out the calibration is way off.
It should be plug and play. I tried to use xinput-calibrator but, as usual, that was useless and did nothing. Has anyone had this issue>?

For mine I created a calibration file in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/98-calibration.conf

Code: Select all

Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "calibration"
        MatchProduct "FT5406 memory based driver"
        Option "MinX" "-14"
        Option "MaxX" "65631"
        Option "MinY" "228"
        Option "MaxY" "65581"
Option "SwapXY" "0" # unless it was already set to 1
Option "InvertX" "0" # unless it was already set
Option "InvertY" "0" # unless it was already set
EndSection

to try to get the touch point and the cursor to overlap. Your calibration numbers WILL be different.
