program windows too big on Touch Screen

Sun Dec 31, 2017 5:33 am

Hello,

I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3 and the official 7" touch screen. Problem is that some, not all, program windows open too big. For example, when I open the Arduino IDE the program window is too "long" . I can't get to the top menu line. Chrome has also opened so big that the top was off the screen. Couldn't even grab the top bar to drag it around.

Everything looks fine when I use the pi and a HDMI monitor. I've tried changing the resolution thru the preferences menu but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Nick

If you hold the "alt" key down and move the "mouse" pointer with your finger you can move the active window to get at the controls. This also works if you are using an on-screen keyboard such as Florence rather than a USB keyboard.
I have the same problem with VNC Viewer as the window is far larger than the touch screen area.
