single touch registers as double click!??

Mon May 08, 2017 1:01 am

I recently bought and connected the Raspberry Pi touch screen (https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Pi-7-T ... B0153R2A9I) but when I connect it with the latest Raspbian-Jessie installation and try to click on something, it is registering as a double click. A single touch is registering as a double click. This makes it impossible to use things like Kivy (e.g. say you click a drop down list, well it appears then disappears immediately). Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it my screen that is broken? I'm just not sure if it the way I connected it or something else at my end.

Having worked with several official 7" touch LCDs bought from well-known channels (RS Electronics, Conrad) I never have seen the issue you describe (so far). This looks as if you got a faulty unit, which the seller should replace.
From ZX81 to Raspberry Pi, but wait ... where's the 7805 gone?
