Official display resolution

Wed Apr 05, 2017 4:32 pm

I have the official 7" touchscreen, and display properties says 1024x600. Everything is very small, so how do I change this? There is no pulldown in Display Properties.

The official display is 800x480.

Code: Select all

pi@challenger:~$ tvservice -s
state 0x400000 [LCD], 800x480 @ 60.00Hz, progressive

I used sudo nano /boot/config.txt and changed it there. Thanks. it looks so much better, or should I say bigger.

Yes, it's true but resolution in Raspberry Pi Configuration is "default 720x480".
What is the "real" resolution?
I got an issue with the Arduino program window; its upper side goes beyond the upper edge of the screen and I can't manage the window

The real hardware resolution is 800x480. You may call it something else close and have it sort of work, but whatever you specify is getting scaled to 800x480. Using the native 800x480 will look sharpest.
