I've run into a problem with the RPI official 7" touch display. I use the display in landscape rotation. When I press anywhere, it returns numerous touches in sequence but all on the same Y-position value but with random X. It seems that it cannot determine where I put my finger horisontally.

Anyone who has experienced the same thing? I will upload a video later on where I show the problem.

Which option did you add to the /boot/config.txt file to rotate the screen?
You should have used lcd_rotate rather than display_rotate
