how to revert back after using a official display

Wed Jul 20, 2016 7:45 pm

greetings,
I have a pi 3. bought an official raspberry pi 7" touch screen display and connected it to my pi 3.
Worked fine. Used the gpio header to power the pi from the screen with my official pi power source connected to display.

The display got broken. Separated the pi from the display. connected power source and external display to pi. Pi won't boot. Just get a solid red light. Plug in a network cable and I get no leds lighting up on the nic.

I wonder if I need to do something to the pi to make it power correctly now that the 7" touch is removed.

any help greatly appreciated as I need to get it working quick.

thanks.

Start with a completely new SDCard and a copy of NOOBS 1.9.2 on it. See if that boots OK.

When you broke your screen you may have broken your RPi in the process.
