Hi there,
The subject line says it all but here's how I made it that way.
I have had this screen for a while with a raspberry pi 2 and it has worked since day one, no problems.
I am working on an art project that has the display looping a video of a blinking eye. The 7" and the Pi are screwed together and I was prepping to mount them on my wood canvas using nylon standoffs. I screwed the standoffs in to the back of the display very carefully as the threaded end is slightly longer that the clearance between the screen and the screw whole. Everything was going well until the last standoff I was screwing in. I screwed it in a little too far and I heard a crack sound. The display is fine, not cracked. The sound came from the metal chassis that has the screw mounts separating for the metal that encloses the guts of the display.
I plugged the screen in and nothing. Not a flicker.
Is this screen bricked? Does anyone have any advice on what I can do? What to look at?
Thanks in advance. I have an art show in two weeks and can't really afford the cost of a new on at this point.
