Touchscreen and preempt_rt

Mon Mar 07, 2016 2:53 pm

Hey there,

I have installed the official touchscreen on my raspberry pi 2 and it worked perfectly with the latest version of raspbian. But for my project I have to use the preempt rt kernel version. I installed it and now the display is working but not the touch sensor. Is there a solution to solve this issue ?

Thanks for any help !

Any idea ? Have anyone ever been facing the same problem ? Maybe with another version than preempt_rt ? Any help will be appreciated ! :D
Do you think official touchscreen only works with "basic" raspbian ? In this case, can I just install the piece of code managing the touchscreen in my preempt_rt version ? I'm sorry if my questions are stupid I don't really know how all this stuff works. :(

Thanks !

The touch screen is managed by the GPU. There is a special driver for it in Raspbian, I guess you need to port the driver to Linux-rt.
