Terminal window size.

Sun Dec 13, 2015 3:23 pm

When I open a terminal window from the startx display the bottom of the window is out of sight. If I open the nano editor I cannot see the control commands at the bottom. Is there a way to limit the window size to stay completely on screen? On a tv using hdmi its fine. I can reduce the whole size by altering the screen resolution but everything is then so small.

You can set the font size in LXTerminal (look under the Edit menu, IIRC). If you make the font smaller, the window will be smaller.

I have used this suggestion to add --geometry=72x16 to the menu command, but when I open a new tab in the lxterminal, the new tab and original tab are both resized to some default size that goes off the Pi display screen. This smells like a bug in the lxterminal program, but maybe I just didn't do things right.
