A video I made about the official touchscreen display

Being totally new to Raspberry Pi and Linux, I found it quite a challenge to get this setup together. I was so glad with the result that I decided to make a video of it.
It took me a couple of hours to find all this myself. In the end, I had an excellent working touchscreen! So I hope this post will help some of you!

The screen does NOT work with NOOBS. EDIT: It does work, if fully updated and upgraded.
You need to download Raspbian Wheezy and create a new SD card with that distro.
Download here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/
To create your SD card: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... /README.md
and do this: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... windows.md
Connect the RPI to a standard screen and update and upgrade Raspbian Wheezy.

When connection the screen to RPI, make sure you get the connectors and the power cords right. (Some tutorials show a misleading picture with the power connectors on the wrong place.)
Here is the official installation guide, with really good pictures:

Hi Ivan,

Did you do anything to your Wheezy download (any additional drivers or commands you may have run) to make it work with Wheezy? My display worked perfectly with Jessie, but will not respond to touch inputs with Wheezy. I ran the sudo apt-get update and upgrade commands, but other than that, no other modifications to the OS.

I'm using the Wyolum Alamode board with my RPi which only works with Wheezy, otherwise I'd be fine using Jessie.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Scott
