Display Dimensional Drawing

Thu Oct 29, 2015 2:29 pm

I prepared this new CAD model and dimensional drawing to facilitate making enclosures or panel-mounting the Raspberry Pi 7-inch display:

This is based on (but simplified from) the official drawing at https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... 092015.pdf in that it only includes the dimensions and features relevant to an enclosure or panel-mounting. It is also enhanced by showing the dimensions of the overall assembly envelope including a Raspberry Pi 2, which is critical to fitting an enclosure but not shown on the official drawing. It also adds a few missing details like the maximum screw penetration.

My drawing is also scaled 1:1, so you can print at 1:1 to cut paper templates and paste them onto your materials to readily improvise hand cuts and construction without a lot of difficult layout, or to cut out "paper dolls" for designing mechanical assemblies.
