Offical Display on Windows 10 IoT

It doesn't work yet of course, but has anyone seen or heard anything from MS or anywhere about whether it will eventually?

Only MS can answer that question as it is their product and their choice when / if the implement peripheral support:

For those interested, a new insider preview is available of Windows IoT - version 10.0.10556.0 - the screen does now work - though no touch yet.
