Hi James,

Thats great news - glad to see progress, I'd be happy to test a beta build when ready (I'd test with a DPI panel).

Does anyone know how the dual display works in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzugiINb3Zo&t=2s

The pi has no /dev/fb1, but editing the xorg conf to use fb1 works in the video. Anybody have a clue?

A USB or SPI attached display could provide its own FB driver.

The changes I have made means the foundation supplied LCD panel and the HDMI can now run on different framebuffers at the same time, which they were not able to do before. Also, DPI displays and I think composite (not tried either) - anything that the GPU drives.

Brilliant - looking forward to trying...

When can we expect to see Beta release for testing / feedback?

Not sure, got to ensure there are no regressions elsewhere before any release. Couple of weeks maybe.

Can't wait until this is ready! I made my own midi controller and have the touch screen built in and want the HDMI port to mirror that

Bit of a logjam of work at the moment. Codes been complete for a while, really must get a beta out.
