OS command to ReRead/refresh HAT Info

Fri Nov 10, 2017 6:12 pm

Hi,
I'm overwriting the HAT EEprom on I2C-Addr 0x50 with new infos.
but in the HAT tree ( /proc/device-tree/hat/ ) are the old infos.

Is there a OS command, to reload this info to the tree?

If I reboot, the new info is available. I try to avoid a reboot.

The HAT EEPROM is only read by the firmware at boot time, and the firmware has no way to update the kernel's device tree at run time, so for both reasons there is currently no way to update .../hat without a reboot.

Return to “Device Tree”
