[BCM2711] Alternate DMA route for SPI4 and SPI5

Sat May 15, 2021 5:23 pm

Hello,

According to page 62 of "BCM2711 Peripherals" (quote below) it seems to be possible to enable DMA channels for SPI4 and SPI5 in place of UART3 and UART5. Although, there aren't any explanation on how to achieve such functionality.
The alternate DREQs are available by changing the DMA_CNTRL_MUX bits in the PACTL_CS register in the peri audio control block.
How can I use the alternate DREQs for these peripherals? I don't need UART3 and UART5 so a quick and dirty solution is more than enough for me.

Thanks.
