Issue 67- possible ZX Spectrum Alternative?

Thu Mar 29, 2018 11:46 pm

I love the fact that in issue 67 they show you a build of putting a Pi zero in an old spectrum. If you don't have an old spectrum then eBay seems to be the next place but even broken ones can go for a pretty price.
One thing I got in the past for the cheap price of £25 is the new Bluetooth spectrum keyboard.
I just wanted to know if anyone has used this to make a retropi system and if so how?

Yes, it has been done. It's much more challenging as there is less space in the case (due to an extra plate) and the membrane design is different but perfectly possible.

You can also buy brand new reproduction cases (in many groovy colours) from http://www.zxrenew.co.uk/
